To achieve success in our business, we need to continuously improve our Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) and Sustainability approach now and in future. In this regard CHI will follow highest HSE standards and will not compromise in HSE towards.

Our Target to achieve ZERO incidents and injuries so that we can be proud of it; could get trust of our Employees, Clients and Society, and therefore to be a good partner for all communities where we work.

CHI are committed to:

Comply with all requirements of Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with current HSE legislations;
Managing all Company activities in a way that ensures health and safety of all employees and protection of environment;
Ensuring that HSE is always treated as a critical business activity;
Involve all company employees for development and improvement of the HSE culture;
Plan and carry out activities in a way to avoid incidents and injuries;
Provide all employees appropriate PPE and tools for protection against occupational hazards;
Provide full information about hazard and risk at the workplace, as well as working conditions;
To motivate the personnel to follow the safety rules as well as for observations and reporting of noncompliances;
Carry out checking of the HSE knowledge and rules regularly;
Comply with Clients’ HSE requirements if it doesn’t contradict with RoK legislation.

Each CHI Manager Shall:

Approach systematically to HSE management ensuring compliance with RoK laws, CHI rules, Clients’ requirements and international
 standards as well as continues improvement;
Assess HSE risks and take appropriate and timely actions to control these risks in a daily business;
Carry out planned inspections of their departments on HSE;
Distribute the information about CHI HSE Policy to the workforce;
Always monitor that HSE is the responsibility of all CHI managers, teams and individuals. CHI will support any Company employees, who
requests to STOP the work, if that person have observed that work is unsafe or can impact environment or he/she believes to be in danger.

Road Transport Policy

CHI has identified Road Transport as one of the most serious risk faced be employees, contractors and visitors.

Our Target to achieve ZERO incidents and injuries so that we can be proud of it; could get trust of our Employees, Clients and Society, and therefore to be a good partner for all communities where we work.

CHI are committed to:
Comply with all Road requirements of Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with current Road legislations;
Establishing and maintaining a Road Safety Management System pursuing the goal of no harm to people
Establishing and monitoring the implementation of appropriate standards for:
    1. Driver selection, training and competency assessments;
    2. Vehicle specification and maintenance requirements;
Ensuring our work-force is fully informed about the risk posed by Road Transport and that they understanding and follow Company
  imposed safety measures:
    1. Wearing the seat belts;
    2. Maintaining speed limits;
    2. Maintain concentration and following distance;
    1. Used of mobile phone and radio while driving is strictly prohibited;
Ensuring Contractors understanding of and compliance with CHI’s Road Transport Policy and Standards;
Regularly monitoring and auditing Road Transport safety performance and compliance with this policy, measuring
  progress and reporting to management.

Industrial Relations (IR) Policy

1 Scope

The IR Policy document defines the Company’s approach, role, responsibilities, activities, tools and implementation of the policy. The policy aims to create sound industrial relations and minimize IR risk at the working place.

IR Policy applies to all Company and sub-contractors working directly.

4 No Drugs and Alcohol Abuse Policy

Company is strongly committed toguarantee a healthy and safe work environment and it’s conscious that alcohol and drugs could have detrimental effects to health and safety of each person and of his/her colleagues.

In order to eliminate potential risk of incidents due to the abuse of drug and alcohol, the present policy has been established in order to assure the health and safety of all personnel.

This policy related to prohibited substances abuse shall be implemented and is applied in all working sites controlled by Company, including those activities carried out by sub-contracted parties under an agreement with Company.

The transportation, use, possession, promotion or sale of prohibited substances on Company working sites is strictly prohibited.

Use of every kind of medicine prescribed with a therapeutic purpose that could prejudice or contribute to prejudice the safe execution of each one task, must be given forth to the relevant safety and health functions.

Supervisory personnel are responsible for enforcing this policy. Employees are individually accountable to follow the requirements of this policy.

The Company, in accordance and within the laws and regulations of Republic of Kazakhstan, could decide every time considered necessary to pre-emptively carry out individual alcoholic and toxicological tests.

Any employee and/or sub-contractor personnel, who is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be immediately suspended from work and tested by medical examination in order to identify the nature of intoxication. Should the use of drug or alcohol be confirmed, then the employee will be immediately dismissed.

Company and sub-contractors must ensure the observance from their employees of the regulations indicated in this policy.

The Company retains the right to carry out audits on the conformity of the sub-contractors actions.

Transgression of this policy respect should imply disciplinary actions up to termination of Labor Agreement in compliance with Republic of Kazakhstan legislations.

5 Zero Tolerance Policy


5.1 INTENT
It is the intent of this Policy to establish general principles of Company and sub-contractor employee conduct when employees are living, working or traveling on territory, premises, equipment or facilities owned or under the control of Company, or are otherwise acting in a capacity where others may regard them as representatives of Company.

5.2 ACTS of VIOLENCE


Workplace violence includes actions more commonly recognized as:

  •Verbal: threats, harassment, abuse and intimidation.

  • Non-verbal: hand and other gestures, spitting at others and intimidation.

  • Physical: hitting, shoving, kicking, sexual touching, throwing objects and other assaults.

  • Incitement: aiding and abetting any acts of aggression.

  • Other: arson, sabotage, vandalism, robbery and stalking.

5.3 POLICY


All employees are expected to at all times fully comply with RoK Laws and Company and Client Policy in which they are operating;

  • Will be expected to behave in accordance with all of the rules and requirements of the employer as well as those of any work site which
  they are expected to work on (even if these sites are not the premises of the company).

  • Will be expected to comply with and behave in accordance with the values of the company;

  • Will be expected to maintain the highest standard of personal discipline and integrity to ensure the safe operation of the work and
  workplace environment;

  • Will comply with Safety regulations;

  • Will conduct themselves in accordance with certain rules and regulations even if not on duty but on company premises or whenever or
  wherever they may be identifiable as company employees, thereby protecting the image of the company;

  • Will always act and behave in consideration of the rights of others and the impact of their behavior on others in the workplace.
  

The potentially dangerous nature of our work at Projects requires every employee to maintain the highest standard of personal discipline and integrity to ensure the safe operation of the oil field and its associated facilities. Safety is of paramount importance to us.

Management recognizes the employee's right to leisure activities, outside work hours. However, at all times, we require every individual to maintain the same standard of behaviour and responsiblity as when at work. Due to the nature of our close living conditions courtesy and consideration for others should at all times govern our behaviours.

Management respects the diversity of our workforce and will not tolerate discrimination for reasons other than work performance, compliance with applicable laws, Company principles of conduct, Companypolicies and Company standards as well as sub-contractor related principles of conduct, policies and standards.

Management has a zero tolerance for any individual or group that engages in any of the noted acts of violence.

5.4 DISCIPLINE


Individuals in breach of these principles while living, working or traveling on land, premises or facilities owned or under the control of Company, shall be immediately suspended from office and removed from the premises controlled by Company. Additionally:

а) A record of the incident, including details of the individuals involved and details of the investigation shall be retained by Company and
  sub-contractors.

б) Those involved shall not work on any current or future Company Projects.
