Only 53% of enterprises insured their employees against accidents in the Republic of Kazakhstan
As of August 1, 2023, more than 3.2 million workers in Kazakhstan are insured against industrial accidents. 53.1% of enterprises have relevant contracts, Liter reports.kz with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor.
It is reported that state labor inspectors in the regions have sent more than 125 thousand notifications to employers about the need for insurance contracts. The absence of such agreements will become the basis for the automatic inclusion of enterprises in the lists of preventive control and inspections in the future.
Recall, according to the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the employer is obliged to insure the employee against accidents in the performance of his work duties.
