Representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population as part of a special government commission flew to the Abai region. They intend to investigate the reasons for the violation of safety and labor protection requirements that led to the death of people while extinguishing a forest fire, BaigeNews reports.kz with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
It is reported that a special government Commission chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar has been established to investigate the causes and circumstances of a group accident that occurred as a result of a fire and the elimination of its consequences on the territory of the Semey Ormany State Forest Natural Reserve in the Abai region. It includes Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Olzhas Ordabayev as deputy Chairman, Chairman of the Committee of Labor and Social Protection of the Population – Chief State Labor Inspector Tolegen Ospankulov, representatives of other central state bodies, Akimat of the region, employers and the workers' union.
In addition, the special commission will determine the amount of damage caused and take measures to provide priority assistance to the victims and the families of the victims.
A special government commission plans to complete the work within 10 working days.
It should be noted that at the moment a comprehensive investigation is being conducted into the causes of the fire on the territory of the Ormany Families and the death of 14 employees of the Novoshulba branch, who went to their site to extinguish the fire. Investigators do not rule out the version of arson.
